At the front of the bead in the middle is a flat cut surface with 8 sides.
From those edges, the bead is bevelled towards the edge. This creates an edge division in 8 facets.
The back of the bead ends in a point. If you look into the bead from the front, you will see an asterisk with 8 dots. The bead is 2 cm in diameter and 1.2 cm thick.
The bead has a hole on two sides in which pins can be inserted to connect the bead to other glassware. The bead comes in a bag of 5 pieces.
