Vintage hanging lamp from the 1960s.
A transparent glass sphere, of so-called volcano glass.
You can see all kinds of small bubbles in the glass.
The fixture is silver (chrome) and fairly easy to adjust in height by removing some links from the chain (or extending the chain).
