Information

Beautiful and unique pendant lamp from the 1930s.
A black wrought iron frame, finished with leaves on the top.
The mouth-blown glass has a yellow-blue colour and is signed "Delatte".

Andre Delatte was a famous glassworker from France.
He had a workshop in Jarville, a town near Nancy.
Here he produced various glass products, mainly vases.
He specialised in cameo glass, which is glass produced by cutting glass that consists of multiple layers of different colours.
A technique that was first seen in Roman times about 30 years before Christ.

His glassware is signed "Delatte" or contains a mark with the text Jarvil on it.

Note: this lamp has bayonet fittings.
You can also easily buy (LED) lights with these fittings online.

A lampshade has a tiny chip; see the last photo.
